Over the past 2 years I have seen so many customers wait till the last minuet to start a renovation. They want a new kitchen by Thanksgiving, but they won’t hire anyone till November and by that time its too late.
You have to plan ahead. Like 2-3 months ahead.
Contractors schedules fill up fast! Especially if they are good at what they do.
A good designer can get you a layout in a week but the actual demo and install takes time. This is not an HGTV 30 minuet episode. A Kitchen takes at least 2 months to complete. A Bathroom takes at least 6 weeks.
You have to plan ahead.
Here’s a peak of the busy and slow months for renovations:
November – January = Slow
February – October = Busy
And summer time is the busiest time of the year for contractors. If you want to start your renovation project by June you have to start planning in April and sign by May.
Want a gorgeous kitchen for Christmas, you better start planning in September and sign in October.
Keep in mind that contractors and designers have a life. They will have holiday time as well, so will companies that will supply your materials.
If you want to get a renovation done in a timely manner, you have to plan ahead.
