“Riley is excited, she just bought a 1950’s home and wants to gut it and start over. She has ideas and pictures of what it should look like. She starts meeting with contractors, painters, plumbers, and electricians. She goes shopping for all the materials and can’t wait for the final result… till one day Riley hits a wall (mentally). She thought this paint color would look perfect, this tile would be awesome for the shower, the chandelier would work perfect for the dinning room, however for some reason these pieces aren’t fitting in the puzzle. Riley is stuck and tired. She knows she has good taste but for some reason she can’t seam to get the puzzle finished.”
This story is what I come across all the time. I meet so many lovely people with a beautiful painting of their home but they get lost on how to paint that same picture.
Whether hiring a designer for an hour or five should not scare you. Most designers charge an hourly fee of $50-150 depending on location. Taking the time to invest with a professional will save you more money in the long run. When you have to keep delaying the painters because you can’t find the perfect color will cost you more. When you have to keep delaying the tile installers because you can’t find that exact tile will cost you more. Most people can’t afford those delays. Your installers can’t afford those delays. They will move on another project and it might delay in finishing your own.
Having a peace of mind and knowing what will work and what won’t will help you. Interior Designers know how to put all the pieces together.
Call your local designer and see what they can do for you, even if it’s only for an hour. You might be pleasantly surprised.
“You have all the pieces; you just need someone that knows how to put it together”,
